All I had given Nabstew was the quote that I wanted to use and she turned it into a beautiful banner for my story! I was so thrilled with it and that I ended up having a complete tumblr theme created off of it! :) I love the eye contact that Bella and Edward have and how heart wrenching the quote is. It really achieves the feeling/emotion of the fic.

This fanfic is FUCKING PERFECT. From the first line I was in love with it. It's an Edward and Bella fanfic, but it's one of a kind. There's not a fanfic like this, not even close too. I love that. Actually it's very hard to describe how amazing and good it is, but it's exciting, unpredictable, sweet and lovely. I bet everyone who reads it will love it.

Very short: The fanfic is about Bella and Mike and they're about to get married soon, but at their party two days before their wedding someone (Edward) comes back for a last dance. And maybe it turns out into something else? Edward is Bella's ex, but he left her. The problem is that they're obviously still in love with each other. So what will Bella do? Leave Mike or leave Edward?

So so amazing fanfic. If you love Twilight, romance and just tension READ THIS! Also the author BellaClary deserves this attention. All I can say is: I love it.

I didn't want to like EfM's Edward and I really didn't know what to make of Bella, yet I kept reading. 

I found myself gripping my computer like a vice as I read.

It was so intriguing and encapsulating that I couldn't stop. Mere minutes and I was finished. I actually went back and reread. 

A stunning and appealing tale with such evocative imagery.

A few fic picks for ya...

The Sound of Silence by Besotted - It's a nice read, very enjoyable. The "disability" Bella has is very believable.
Bella Swan lives in a continuum between sound and silence, a world apart from what Edward Cullen knows. When their lives collide and their attraction can't be denied, can they overlook their differences and let love define them?

Legally Bound by jennlen522 - I was lucky enough to make the banner for this one. The legal jargon is way over my head, but the Edward is hot. ;)
Whereas the law is passionless, passion must ever sway the heart of man-Aristotle. Bella's career is her priority. She always stuck to the plan, until Edward Cullen joined the firm. They are equals in every way. Falling in love was never in the plan.

Blue Satin and Cowboy Boots by symphiann - I get a very Ingalls vibe reading this, not a bad thing at all. Can't wait to see how she's going to fix this mess.
There were 4 unwritten laws in Forks during 1883.1-you listened to your Pa.2-You worshipped God.3-You did your chores without complaint.4-You stayed away from the Cullen brothers. I had no problems with those laws until a pair of green eyes looked my way.

Marianna aka candykizzes24 has made a banner for every story that I've written from the very beginning. After over two dedicated years, she has outdone herself and made my favorite banner. I adore her skills in putting pictures together and making it look flawless. She took everything I sent her, since I wanted to use Justin Timberlake and Kat Von D, and made this beautiful piece of art. Also the logo for the real Machine Shop was a must as the title because I just couldn't picture a banner without it. The colors are vibrant and I think that it just captures your attention from the very first look. She arranged in it such a great way, grouping the characters to perfectly for the storyline. The Story

The Machine Shop by angela4148

College graduate, Bella Swan, needs a job to pay for the student loans on a useless degree. Owner of the famous Machine Shop, Edward Cullen, is looking for a waitress, but there's a lot more to their stories. AH OOC

The Machine Shop is so far within its 13 chapters shaping up to be a pretty damn good story. Bella is best friends with Rosalie, who ends up bringing her to The Machine Shop; a bar in Michigan. Bella had just graduated from college with a degree in business managment but because of the unforseen circumstances of the economy, hadn't been able to find a job in her own career field. Enter her best friend and essentially sister Rosalie who brings her to the bar because she knows the bouncer, Emmett and could help get her a job.

The bar is owned by Edward Cullen. Edward is broody as ever in this story. Edward is an Iraq vet who's having some issues. For years, he's been dealing with the death of his best friend and fellow soldier. Edward blames himself and of course doesn't feel like he should or have the right to move on from that and deal with his pain.

When Edward and Bella meet, of course there's the immediate connection and 'spark'. Bella wants to get him better but Edward is keeping his distance. Things are starting out slow with these two, slowly Edward is letting Bella in and trying to let go of his past.

If you are like me and like the 'military Edward' in ff stories, then you'll definitely love this one. With other drama surrounding the other characters; Rosalie, Emmett, Alice & Jasper, this one will definitely keep you on your toes.

This was 1987; before the Internet, before Twitter, before Facebook – this was back when it was still possible for people not to know about things: big things - like bands, and little things - like G-spots. AH, ExB, with some other parings along the way.

Pure poetry.

I was intrigued by this story because of the premise.

I liked this story because of the characters.

I loved this story because of the lyrical prose.

I've said it a few times since I started reading... this is by far one of the most well-written and beautifully fluid tales I have ever read. And I read a lot. A-LOT!

Bella is an abandoned young girl in love with a rockstar and treading hard to keep her head above storm wracked waters. Edward is a spiraling manic depressive whose music is his outlet in a mind filled with pain.

Truly, this is one of the finest, emotional, passionate, and beautifully painful stories I have ever read. I was stunned and shocked, I was awed and entertained. It has all the things you need in a good story. Music, characterization, drama, laughter, sex, pain, and pleasure. It's all wrapped in poetic lines and lyrics.

The Banner

Mandy52799 created this banner for a contest; as soon as I saw it I asked her if I could adopt it. The banner was perfect for my new story, A Love Like Yours. You just take a look at the picture and feel my story. Bella has lost everything, her parents, and her home. She then drives to Seattle, for what she hopes is a fresh start and finding herself trying to survive the adversities any person might encounter. The manipulation made by Mandy on Bella face, resembles what the story is telling. You can not only see the hurt, but really feel the character’s emotions. Further into the story, Bella sees a couple and is intrigued by the way the two lovers interact. The banner shows you a couple walking on the street behind Bella, she is standing in the darkness but if she turns around she will find what she is looking for without even noticing it. Can’t say more for now, as the story is still developing and I don’t want to spoil it.

The merge done by Mandy is flawless; the contrast is perfect, as you can really see the light at the end of the tunnel. The same way Bella needs it to find her path and find herself again.

Finally, the fonts, Mandy uses a very romantic and extravagant font, I liked it because, after all, this is a love story and the way they interlace makes you note the way a story is told. This is a story of a girl that is hoping to get a better life, trying to find love and searching for her happily ever after. This is also not a fairytale, it’s based on real life events and accurate troubles a girl in her situation must face.

"Alone. Away from home. Only one glance at a mysterious man... their love intrigues me. Is it possible for her to love someone who hasn't acknowledged her? Would she be willing to risk anything for love... her love? Or would she love from afar?" AH

A Love Like Yours starts off with a brief sad history. Bella has lost both parents in a car accident. The bank repossesses her parents home. She is left alone and homeless. Dark. Dreary. Sad.

Heading to Seattle for what she hopes is a new start, Bella is somewhat hopeful, even with all that has happened in the past 2 weeks.

She keeps a hopeful attitude. Even the hope of possibly finding love.

A hope sparked by the observance of a handsome man's interaction with an attractive brunette.

Hope is a good thing. We all need that. But Bella definitely has that black cloud looming over her...

It's the same car, and I start to laugh at my stupid joke. It passes by my side; there is a puddle on the other side of the road and the fast car splashes all my truck; leaving me with absolutely no visibility. I panic and hit the brakes, but my truck just keeps going and starts to spin. I must have hit the side of the road because now I am starting to see everything going upside down. As I keep turning, I lose all track of what is up or down and left or right. It seems to be taking such a long time to stop. Suddenly, my head hurts like the worst nightmare. Furthermore, I cannot get enough air into my lungs; I try to breathe but nothing goes in.My world is now very dark and I forget where I am.

And even with all the dark Bella experiences, there is still some peaks of light....

She somehow reminds me of my mother; she has this beautiful smile and seems to be a very warm person.

"Yes, my name is Bella," I answer.

"Well, I'm Esme. Nice to meet you, Bella."

"Nice to meet you too, Esme."

"I haven't seen you before today. Is this the first time you've come here?"

"Yes, I'm new in town."

"Bella, feel free to come here as often as you'll like."


A Love Like Yours is definitely a Promising new Story. There is darkness, angst, mystery, intrigue, and most importantly...hope.

And the fandom agrees. A Love Like Yours has received nominations in both the The Torch Awards as well as February's, The Rose Awards.

I am amazed in all of years of reading fanfiction, that I have never come across a story of mystery. And it's written very well in the form of a drabble. XquisiteProdigy is a new up and coming author who you should definitely be on the lookout for.

My first thought about this story was "Oh no, ANOTHER kidnapping story- no thank you." This was anything but. Bella Swan is a college student who recently finds out she is adopted. In an attempt to get out of her mom and dad's good shadow, she goes to a nightclub one night, only to end up being kidnapped. The napper himself? Edward Cullen. Only this story is not so cut and dry. It has many twists and turns and the author has you feeling emotions for both characters.

I don't recommend Pilfered. I am slamming it down your throat and making sure it is the only thing on your computer screen. This story captivates you from the very beginning. You will not be disappointed!

Do you love the slightly possessive, mysterious Edward that is kinda of confusing at first but you can't help but love him? Let me introduce you to kts's Edward in A Slow Boil. Damn. He is a wealthy translator who hires Bella as his housekeeper. What starts out as an odd arrangement ends up being a very sweet and satisfying love story. If you like Wealthy Posessiveward who isn't a psycho control freak, you'll love A Slow Boil. There is just something about this Edward that makes me want him...bad. Go see for yourself, and tell the author we sent ya *winks*

Turning Pointe

I've been slacking in my pusher duties lately. I humbly apologize. (Snort yea I can't pull it off can I?)

Anyway, I woke up to a sad, Turning Pointe just had it's last chapter and epilogue posted. So I figured I should raise some awareness over this under appreciated fic. Bella is a dancer. Edward is a badboy, kinda, you don't really see it in the fic in anything other than conversations.
It's a cute story, happy at times, but it also deals with some heavy subject matters, eating disorder. Nothing graphic, but interesting and educational. It's well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Edward's life was a non-stop party – drinking, drugs, girls – he's completely out of control. Determined to win back his father's approval, he befriends sweet & innocent Bella. His plan backfires, but can he give up his new addiction?

If you haven't noticed, we are kind of big fans of SunshineGal3 (See push one, two, three, and four). When I saw the summary for this story I knew I wanted to read it. Bella is a Harvard student who sees Edward playing guitar in Harvard Square and is instantly attracted. They are from two different worlds but have an instant connection. There are only three chapters up as I write this, but the author plans to update each week. So, I'm sitting around one night talking to Head Roughian, @JadaPattinson, about fetishes, weird fics, and crack!fic. She says, "Have you read Beastward?" And my response was kinda like this:

But then I read it.

I shant be doubting Miss Jada again any time soon.

There was love and pain and passion and laughter. A beautiful boy lost. A feisty girl found.

He survived incredible odds, made a family, and even though he was feral, he had a heart of gold. 

His tenderness was immense and her overwhelming love melted my heart.

I loved that VampireMama didn't let her Bella roll over and die. I hate that dying swan aspect of fic. Y'all know that. I also don't like when authors put RIDICULOUS constraints on their characters or put them in dire situations, turn up the heat, add some more angst and then poke you in the eye because they think it will help their reviews. VM is not like that. She wrote from her heart and even though there is some serious angst, there is also this under current of kindness, tenderness, and beauty.

Edward may have been raised by wolves, but he has more humanity and compassion than most.

Bella may have been abandoned and hurt, but she never gives up.

Bella and Edward are working through a lot, more than you could imagine, but then in their quiet moments... oh their intimacy! Not just the smut... ooooh is there smut. And it's freakin' hot! But beyond the toe-curling smut, there is this connection. You guys know me, I always love when the emotions overtake the fucking. ;)

And, VampireMama, if you happen to be reading- Jacob broke my heart! I love that character! Can he please go live with Bella and Edward?! I'm sure he can be house trained!!!

How could anyone not love him?!

Anyway...

If you love a heartwarming fic with enough angst and lemon to keep you coming back for more, Beautiful Savage is just up your alley... err, forest.

So my beta and writing partner, Sunshinegal3, has hit the complete button on her fic, Set Fire to the Rain. This is a dramatic, angsty tale of Addictward and Counselorella. It is frought with pain, sadness, and turmoil, but if you look beyond the hurt, you can see the sun peeking out from behind the storm. If anything, this story is one of hope and forgiveness. It was a pleasure to beta and I was sad to see it end. I'm still working on her on doing a few outtakes.

My Summary:

Best friends Bella and Jasper have been on the run for four years. They fled their hometown of Philadelphia so that Jasper could escape from his abusive father. Bella, the reclusive genius, did not want to be separated from her closest (and only) friend, so she joins him. Together they travel the country and make their money in casinos. Bella is a numbers girl and counts cards at the blackjack tables while Jasper uses his knack for sensing emotions in poker games. Eventually, Bella gets tired of their nomadic lifestyle and tells Jasper. He immediately tries to find a way to end their troubles, not only because he is the reason for their situation, but he is also deeply in love with Bella. Unfortunately for him, it is unrequited.

The pair find themselves in Atlantic City where Jasper involves himself with underground criminal James, much to Bella's disapproval. While Jasper starts working for James, Bella meets Edward at the casino he manages: Volterra. When Bella falls on hard times, Edward is there to save her. What happens when he realizes Volterra is not the safest place for her to be? Or him for that matter...dun dun dunnnn!

Why I Love This Fic:

I found this story while fic diving and was instantly drawn in by the summary. I have yet to read a fanfiction with a casino plot and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This story is so beautifully written and each chapter keeps me on my toes. I've never been surprised by a fic like I have been with Atlantic City. It's really hard to say certain things without giving away the plot, so I'm going to leave you with the summary above and my stamp of approval. Go uncover all the wonderful mysteries of Atlantic City, it will keep you wanting more with each chapter you read. There are only about 400 reviews on this story and the author deserves so much more! Make sure to leave her some love when you read :)

Edward is a doorman along with several other gentleman, and they're all supposed to be Anthony. They wear the same outfit, do the same job, and be completely indiscernible from the other. He is not an individual... he's an Anthony. He has a job, he does his job. He stole my heart from the moment I met him. He's a blue collar worker just trying for something better. Carlisle Cullen promised him more money, stability, and security... all he had to give up was his identity.

But then one day, trailing behind the spoilt Alice Cullen, comes in a beautiful brunette. This brunette makes eye contact, speaks to him like a human, and makes him feel for once, that he is a real person again.

Then she's gone.

Love's Little Book tells the story of recently divorced Bella Swan who decides to volunteer for the Boston Book Exchange. The owner, Edward, is a bit of a nervous wreck in the most adorable way possible. This Edward is AwkWard, Shyward, and Sweetward all wrapped into one. His stuttering and timid nature is very endearing to read...like when he gets nervous around Bella:

Oh god he is going to kiss me, please kiss me... no, don't kiss me, I thought. My brain was working a million miles a minute and I didn't know what I wanted.

He leaned down slightly.

I prepared myself, braced myself for the softness of his lips and the turmoil I was sure would follow. The burning got worse, the static turned to electricity and I was ready.

But then as soon as it started, it was over. Edward pulled away sharply as though he had only just realized what he was doing.

"I... um... I should go," he stuttered.

Before I could reply he swiftly turned around and in his haste to get away walked straight into the door frame. He grunted at the impact, corrected himself and walked out the door.

I watched him leave, terrified about what had happened and the effect it would have on the friendship we were slowly building.

Before he disappeared around the corner towards the elevator, he stopped and turned around to look at me. His cheeks were pink from his embarrassment, but the smile he sent me was nothing short of devastating.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Bella." I smiled back at him, and nodded. We stared at each other for a moment longer before he disappeared out of my line of sight.

I walked back into my apartment, closed the door and leaned against it. Thoughts were racing through my head, but all I could mutter was, "Oh fuck." (Chapter 10)

Lol, oh fuck is right Bella! Looks like she is going to have to make the first move with Shyward...

While Edward steals the show in this story, littlestar300's Bella is very enjoyable to read as well. The story is from her point of view, so you get some funny insight into what she's thinking about Edward and their relationship:

The movie was not my choice. It was just a distraction. I was thinking about kissing Edward and Johnny Depp was on the TV so I began thinking about kissing him, which got me even more worked up than I was before, especially when I thought about them kissing each other. I had no idea where that image came from but I had to shut it down. I was blushing so hard I was probably glowing in the dark. (Chapter 18)

I loved the fact that Edward was the bookworm in this story, he was the one who majored in literature and owned a bookstore. Bella hadn't even read Wuthering Heights before! *gasp* A little role-changing is always refreshing to read.

Love's Little Book is pure fluff, I was "aww-ing" through this whole story. It might have a bit of a slow start (we are dealing with Shyward here), but it's a quick read and not drawn out.

Lea aka TwistedIn aka my partner in crime sent me a link to this and we ooh'd and ahh'd over the beauty of it. The manip is flawless, the blending is perfect and I am a huge fan of the font choice for this banner. Font is a big deal, and it is really hard to pick the right font for a banner...at least for me. The artist created nice artwork that reflects the story really well. Raggdoll of Twilight is the banner maker and she makes some beautiful stuff, you can view her entire portfolio on her blog here.

About the story:

Semper Paratus: That Others May Live by RainyGirl1978

Reluctant widow, Bella, attempts to break out of her rut by going out with the handsome & cocky Coast Guard officer, Edward. Can he win her heart & who will rescue whom? AH, Rated M just in case.

My Summary:

It's been two years since Bella has lost her husband, Emmett, and she is just going through the motions of life. She meets the new Port Angeles Coast Guard named Edward Masen. Bella eventually agrees to a date and things are great...for awhile. Suddenly, Edward is giving Bella the cold shoulder and she has no idea why. Hurt by his rejection, Bella is out of sorts but eventually bounces back and even goes on a few dates with another man, but she can't help but wonder what happened with Edward. When she finds out his reason for retreating, will she immediately forgive him? Or will she need some time to think over what she has learned about Edward's past...*cue dramatic music*

Why I love this fic:

This story isn't an instant HEA for the pair, Bella has been thrown back into the dating game and isn't quite prepared for Edward's advances. When she is finally ready to commit to him, he backs off and confuses the hell out of Bella (and me, too!). I'm usually a Shyward/Geekward fan but RainyGirl has got me rooting for Cockyward in this fic. Eventually, though, you realize that this Cockyward is just a shy Geekward in disguise.

This fic is a WIP, fifteen chapters up as I type this, and we are just grazing the surface of the plot. Bella is finally realizing the depth of her feelings and I am really excited to see how this story progresses. RainGirl1978 is writing a wonderful story and you should go read...now!

I am a very lucky girl, when I first started talking to this very talented author little did I know she'd  become a friend, and my writing slave... I mean I do make the banners, it's just really awesome to see my prompts and plot bunnies actually written.

Behold, TAILWARD!

Edward is king of a dying race, his planet torn by civil war. Bella is abducted to become his bride. From college student to Queen... Can she learn to love this strange man and help save his people?

That's right, you didn't misread the title: TAILWARD. As in, this Edward has a tail. I've never been one to get into Sci-Fi, but this story captivated me from the very beginning. Bella is abducted and transported to another planet light years away. She is meant to be the mate of Emperor Edward, the leader of the Federation of the Nine Planets.

This is hands-down the most creative story I have ever read. If you want to read something completely different, you must check this out. The writing is phenomenal and the plot just takes your breath away. I just finished reading it and I already want to go back and re-read! It's complete, so go check out Written in the Stars and let the author know we sent ya!

Dirty Roads in Intercourse
